I'm trying a new own style with a bit more opacity for the tattoos, maybe if I make them too dark they look unreal, let me know if you me to keep this new idea, or come back to make the ink darker :)
Personally I prefer more EA style skin-tone tattoos rather than very contrasting and sharp.
Quick example (no disrecpect to the author, just my personal taste):

Sorry but i didn't understood if do you prefer what i'm doing now, or what I was doing before

It is hard to achieve that and keep the tattoo looking clear, if i add more opacity, during match it won't even get noticed and look as a simple stain, i made tests.
It all depends on the lighting and perosnal preference, of course.
Just prefer subtle details like this
 
Regarding the conversation we had yesterday, i'm starting to consider the idea of release 3 versions for each tattoo.

- More opacity
- Medium
- Less opacity

So the user could be free to test and choose which is better for their preferences.
