FIFA 22 to 14 Faces Pack

I succesfullu converted and imported into FIFA 16. I made the corresponding bump, although I'm not totally sure it was required. Nevertheless I created the bump, made the coeff of the texture and it seems to work with slight bugs, like some weird shadings/lights on the face, which are merely visible
How did Mbabu turn out?

That may not be true i think :
Fifa online 4 is a different development studio
Their faces usually dont get added in the big (fifa 21/22) games
There are a lot of examples like gervinho (who s added since 2014 fo3, but never at the main fifa)

Also they dont work with scanned faces, unlike main fifas...

However fifa 22 will have their own created faces, if what u mean yes...

Partly correct. The main exception being ICONS//LEGENDS where everything is facilitated by EA Sports.

@V.K ''I'm wondering if EA scanned Beckham's head for the Story mode but they still use a custom head model for his player gameface or whether they updated it.''

Beckham is 46 my dude, ofc his ICON versions aren't created using scanning tech. It's sculpted, it's the same deal as the PES one where only the 'old man' version is scanned. Same goes for pretty much every single LEGEND from PES 17 to 21, other than the 'oldman version' of a couple of players who were hired to do ambassadorial roles for marketing there are no 'SCANS' among the legends.

KONAMI only have tech to scan in Tokyo (since they haven't been about making games for about 6-7 years) Bayern, United, Barcelona, Juventus (current) all have players who's textures and models is based on capture tech on location in Tokyo.

many expression lines. He looks older. If you notice the difference between the before and after, it looks younger, with less pronounced expression lines.

Obviously I did a drastic test by resetting the reflex. But I think it is enough to lower the opacity.

If you remove everything present on the bump/normal map it serves no purpose. Easiest way to think of them is that they serve the function of giving the 'impression' of depth to the model in question when rendered by the engine. So if you remove everything that's on it, odds are you'll get a face texture that is going to look very 'flat' ingame :)

Yeap, that's exaxtly what the normals do. They are used in order to reduce the poly-count and still get the same quality. It's like a delusion of details on the mesh, like the bumps don't have to be carver or elevated on the mesh, thanks to this technique

Please, don't ask for players that already have a lot of versions at FIFA, do we have almost 20 different versions of Hazard, ask for players who doesn't really have not even 1 version at FIFA or have just awful made faces, if you really want those faces, wait until Dmitri release his tool on a long time maybe, but just wait at least by now, a new Hazard it's completely useless.
Clearly we don't even have a good version for Messi, and even less for Cristiano :)

I have a question for you, are these really like Messi and Ronaldo?

Based on the fact that both of the base models are literally created from 360 degree full 3D scanning of the players in question? Yeah, they 100% are. You seem to have missed the slight tidbit about FIFA being an 'ARCADE' representation/interpretation of FOOTBALL. The 'look' chosen in terms of style is a conscious choice by EA to match the general theme of the game, which is ARCADE.

To then compare it to 3D models of the same players, from a game series that is meant to be a 'REALISTIC SIM' of what FOOTBALL is?.... If you have two titles, one has the name ARCADE in it, the other REALISTIC which of the two do you think is more likely to have an artstyle closer to photo realism?

For the record though, photo realism unless you are doing 360 degree scanning sessions IS GARBAGE. The amount of 3D artists out there capable of creating really high quality lifelike sculpts are very few and every single one of them will be at studious not called EA or KONAMI.

KONAMI's legend 3D models look 'great' as flat images, as soon you render the models though and watch them in motion for the most part it's a horror show.

If you want photo realism, why not just play PES? Cuz FIFA is never going to be a 'REALISTIC SIM' ever.

It is not a question of what is good and what is bad. It is a question of what is useful and what is not. We have an available collection of Messi and Ronaldo from FIFA 14 to FIFA 22 made by EA (without considering FO4) plus a myriad made by guys who have created their own version every year (8 years of Messi and Ronaldo with every type of hairstyle and beard ). I believe there are more Messi and Ronaldo on this forum than there are inhabitants in Liechtestain. Now Dmitri has just discovered something, surprising, on the edge of science fiction and that I still believe he needs tests and automatisms that will take time and energy. So I say ... PES has a host of faces of players who are not in FIFA. What is better? Faces never seen, sought after, unique .... or Messi and Ronado again?

You guys think, the kid will understand or at least try to understand all of this !
He won't be happy, even if Dmitri gives him 6 versions of Messi. Fan boys always need new ones.

We must also consider that, since this novelty is in the testing phase, they are more captivating to test players of whom we have nothing. If one already has a nice Ronaldo or Messi doesn't change it with one from PES, let others test. In this way, a possible number of users useful for tests decreases. Most people refer to test something new, something they don't have. The news!

I would even go a step further and say that the pictures RAC put on his thread are photoshopped. I mean, not that he did it, but someone did it and he was fooled.
In any case, I'd say FIFA has evolved from arcade to simcade. And since the introduction of the new player scanning technique in FIFA 16, it works and looks good enough in creating and animating model to not abandon it.
I personally prefer this.
