It would be great to see the process of working with our own eyes through tutorials. I believe there are people who want to help or to create classic squads of their own favorite teams , but they don't have any experience yet.

For example I will be enjoying doing this if I will have much time (I'm studying IT first year in university)

I don't have time to create tutorials so here is a short instruction.

For player faces you can use the Fifa editor tool(there is a topic with all updates about the tool in this forum). It works with Fifa 22 and 21. If you want to extract player faces from Fifa 20 to Fifa 17 you can use Frosty editor which is very similar. There are tutorials for both on youtube.

You should use the RDBM tool for editing Squad files. There are also tutorials on youtube for the usage of this tool. With the newest version RDBM 22 you can edit squad files for Fifa 17 to Fifa 22. There are no big differences in RDBM 22, 21, 20...it's just that RDBM 21 can be used for squad files 21 to 17, RDBM 20 for squad files 20 to 17...

Among the tables you will see in RDBM when you open squad file you will see players, editplayernames and teamplayerlink. Players table holds all the players with unique ids, and their properties(ratings, appearance...). If you are creating new players you can set their first name, last name and jersey name in the editplayernames table. And teamplayerlink is a table for links between players and clubs. Every link has a unique id, you can also set the squad number of a player in this table.

All these tables could be extracted to .txt files and opened in excel. You can fill the empty rows in players table with your custom players. You can say that there are 3 categories of properties for players:

• ratings
• appearance
• player info

You should set player ratings for different skills(short passing, finishing, sprint speed, stamina...) with values between 0 and 99.

For appearance you can change the player skin color, hair style, facial hair style, height, weight. In forum threads with fifa ids from previous games you can find what generic hairstyle has which code, same for facial hair style, and their colors. There is also bodytype for which you can google ids.
If you want a player with a real face you should set property headclasscode to 0, and headassetid should have the id of the face you want. If you want a player with a generic face you should set headclasscode to 1, and set the value of headtypecode. I didn't find any list of headtypecodes online, so you should find a player that looks similar to the player you are creating and find his headtypecode value, and copy that value to your custom player.

Player info would be stuff like birthdate, nationality, position, and alternative positions of a player. In the forum threads with fifa ids you can also find codes for the nationality, you can google position codes.

Since you are in IT, you can write a program that reads excel documents and saves them to your custom Objects, and save those Objects to DB. After that you can easily create new players, by copying the existing ones, or by setting some default values to player properties. And you can map your custom objects back to excel file.

There should be no problems with existing faces mod file.

I have extracted some face mods from previous fifa games that were created by MSV GAMES, Andri, Gabri and from Shadow_boy32's old blog and I plan to add them to new classic face mod. (some of the faces: Cole, Yorke, Adriano, Stankovic, Gilberto Silva, Guti, Stam, Ji Sung Park, van Bommel, Sammer, Dida, Romario...)

Also I have extracted some face pngs without head models from Fifa 14 like Duff, Bellamy, Kewell, Woodgate, Bridge... and since I have no knowledge of 3d modeling I just plan to try to find some head and hair models from fifa 22 that could similar to those players, and make some more Frankensteins with combining those three. I can post the whole list of extracted faces if anyone has suggestion which hairs and heads to use.

All of this is a lot of work and I have no idea how much time will I have in coming period, but it is something that is incoming. Also with these new faces there will be some new players so I will try to extend both 90s and 00s squad files.

How do you extract face mods from previous fifa games? I'd like to help create classic faces, but don't know how to extract files from older mods.

While I am working on new squads I have created one small retro pack. It is just 6 teams with players from early 90s, and some older players. Kits are the same as for the 90s mod except for Manchester United one that I added in some different mod(which is not part of this archive).

You would have to give more detail what do you mean by fix around the collar.

Some players had wrong jersey names in squad file for new 90s mod.

Puedo publicar la lista completa de caras extraídas si alguien tiene alguna sugerencia sobre qué pelos y cabezas usar.

Todo esto es mucho trabajo y no tengo idea de cuánto tiempo tendré en el próximo período, pero es algo que está llegando. Además, con estas caras nuevas habrá algunos jugadores nuevos, así que intentaré ampliar los archivos de escuadrones de los 90 y los 2000.

Llevo 2 años detrás de ellos y no hay manera.

When I created this kit few years ago I created it like this on purpose. For this kit collar id should be 8, because it was inspired by this kit:

So, no I'm not going to change it.

No, I don't know if there is an option to add mini faces for players with custom ids. And even if it was possible I don't have time to find 1000s of pictures to use for mini faces.
