With the new division in decades I would like to try to create the All Star and Golden Ball teams (perhaps it disappears) more suited to the period that deals with the db. So in a 50s DB don't put Maldini, Maradona and Van Basten in the All Star team but players like Nilton Santos, Kubala, Tom Finney ... I don't know if they will be available in the next release, probably not because I have to decide whether decade with retro jerseys or updating the rooster for each database and keeping the same jerseys ... is an idea that came to me recently so that the database is consistent with its content.

If you decide to go with new retro kits, then maybe you could use the kits that were worn by the FIFA World XI's of that decade



For the 40-50s you could use the kit from Escape to Victory, FIFA 14's Classic XI has it included already

When you say division by decades, do you literally mean only 10 years span for each DB version or more like 'eras'?

Personally I think if possible, it would be great to have at least 20-30 years covered (clubs and national teams together), i.e. XXI century (and maybe the 90s) all in the same DB, so that for example World Cup 2010 is not separated from Euro 2012.
I think that would be great.

I was wondering the same. It would be very comfortable, if I didn't have to change db, if I want to go back to play 90s.

10 years exactly. If I add another decade we are almost at the starting point. There would be no room for new projects. Creating a db every 20 years is useless and would lead to the eventual division into decades within a few months or a year. With this system I have the space for new teams not qualified for the World Cup, Euro Cup, any copa america, single seasons Serie A, UCL expansion.

exact. Being a season divided between two decades it was included in both DBs.

Cool. And then fifa 90 91 etc means that it is possible to play each Champions League season with mostly original teams apart of missing ones of the decade and in the same time national team tournaments?

That's right. We are working on this. Slowly we will complete the top 16 for each Champions League from 1989-90 to 2009-10.

It is not expected ... in theory Cagliari 93-94 is also missing, which lost the semifinal ... and I am a Cagliari fan ...
