For anyone having a problem with the patch tools, try installing or reinstalling .net Framework.

Use FIP Version Manager to do this.
If the program does not work for you, copy the files from "FIFA 16\fip\version\<version choice>\" to your root "FIFA 16" folder.
The directory "FIFA 16\data\fip\" should not exist, I am not sure why you have it. The directory "FIFA 16\fip\" and it's subdirectories are essential for the patch tools.
This is not a FIP16 issue as I have not modified gameplay. Maybe you added a gameplay mod, or are used to playing a patch with a gameplay mod and are disappointed with the original gameplay?
Use CM16.
You need to give more information. What modifications have you made to the patch? Did you regenerate after installing?
This is not a bug as the patch does not include any new faces. You do raise a good point as many users will have large face collections also need to spend a long time doing this. I may look into writing a small program at some point to scan the heads folder and adjust the players table accordingly.

I assume you are using CM16 to do this? Use FIP Boot Manager, it makes lua assignments which take precedence over DB ones. Many players already have assignments.

Was the version of RM16 modified? The patch version must be used instead of the last public release as it is a more recent build.
Did you check the "is available" box in CM16?

Try removing an extra tournament. I think an unknown compdata limitation is being exceeded. My current thinking is it is settings.txt, but I have not been able to confirm it yet. For that version, I removed an extra cup (Norse Cup) in the default compdata and it resolved the issue.
Did you expand your DB? If so you need to open it with the modified XML descriptor file rather then the original.
Try removing a tournament. When you accept a preseason tournament, it is effectively added to the compdata files. If a limitation is exceeded, your game will crash.
Yes, the only difficulty is learning their player IDs to do so. Use Internal Master 12 to open your career save file. Inspect the teamplayerlinks table, you should be able to find the player ID by looking for the record with their team ID and shirt number. You can use FIP Boot Manager to assign them if you add the player to "FIFA 16\fip\boots\playerlist.txt".

Thanks mate for the hint one more question from the FIP folder in the FIFA 16 root folder can I move the boots and gloves folders to the FIP folder here

Failure in many leagues and teams, every time a database update is needed in creation master uncheck the box Has Generic Face and check the box High Qvality Face

The only thing I expanded is the amount of players (added a lot). No teams / tournaments / league etc. added. I tried to open with several fifa...meta.xml-files. No success.
Don't know if it's relevant but I checked the damaged db-file with Notepad and a default one as well, while the damaged one just got 1 line and the default one got like 50,000.

UPD. It seems that the problem was solved. I've clicked in Origin on Fifa 16 with the right mouse button. Then clicked on Repair. After a while the game was repaired but everything was at default (squads, leagues,kits etc. was from 2015). After it i 've just regenerated the game in CM 16 and now it works!

I have and I found it it was the db that was causing this wrong, I had done an experiment where I tried other dbs to check if it worked and it did. It is only the new dbs that are causing this problem. Thank you for replying and the work that you have done!

@scouser09 First of all thank you for your continued support of fifa modding. I can imagine you have quite a backlog of messages, but I'd hope you could take a look at the reports I sent you about your latest update to RM 14.
I believe it might have accidentally disabled boot randomization.
Maybe fixing that would be as simple as changing a comma in the code, but a mortal like myself hasn't found a way to make it work again

try to copy the db from the patch you downloaded to your fifa folder and try to open it again.

If anyone wants to play with no crowd like they are doing now in Germany, here is a crowd table from the general folder in Data > FIFARNA > LUA > ASSIGNMENTS. Make sure u copy your normal general folder so you don't lose your normal crowd settings. Turn of your crowd volume in the game ad it looks very realistic in game

@scouser09 Have you found out why the commentators mostly call the formations wrong? For example they talk about 4-4-2 when the formation is something totally different.
