1. If you're still using this method, switch to CGFE. This worked fine last year, but with CGFE you will have access to all tables (about 100 more tables). DB files created using this method can easily be converted to work with CGFE.
2. I'd like to help you, but I have no idea what in the world a FUT popup is lol. I have never played online FIFA (and never will, ha). Explain what it is maybe.

1. Yes, a using CGFE, nice tool)))
2. I also do not play online fifa, but there is very beautiful popups (scoreboard/overlay).
Like this mod https://www.moddingway.com/file/228256.html but it only works with Frosty Mod Manager.

Yes editing with CG FE starts to make fun now to me. I have a lot of tv logos and scoreboards working only with frosty MM. Without the Project file I can´t extract it for using in FE. I contact 2 People and asked friendly to give me his Project files, but no Response. Do you have any Suggestion how to use the frosty files. I am not a modder or graphic designer, so I can´t do it myself. But what works, is to make the size of a Fifa 16 logo match to the size in FE, replace it, and I have a new Fifa 18 logo ingame. It Looks not as well as a handmade Fifa 18 tv logo, but ways better than EA´s Default.

No. I only used Frosty for a few days when it first came out. I couldn't even get it to work on one computer. As for editing graphics files, I have no suggestions. I never edit graphics other than switch a few GK kits (like teams with yellow Away kits AND yellow GK kits (?!).

Does anybody know how to assign the commentary to another team? I change a team with another that is in the WC but not in the regular game but I want that team to have the commentaries of the re assigned team not the original is it possible?

Yes, I changed/added commentary in the WC update...

EDIT: I deleted my response to you after I realized you're the same guy I tried helping a while back. But instead of thanking me, you made some comment about me not reading posts properly and never replying to the questions that are asked. Christ, I even posted a link to help you out! Two damn posts under your belt at the time, and you respond to other members like that, you really are something else.

Does anyone know how to change team names with this method?

I've tried this:
  • Extracted the DB from the latest downloaded squads
  • Using DBM, located the team whose name I want to change in the 'teams' table
  • Edited the 'teamnames' column for my chosen team
  • Saved and converted file
  • Loaded the squad file from the game
  • The team's name has not changed
Could anyone please tell me what I've done wrong? Thanks

I have never tried, but I read the file you need to edit is not in the db tables. It might be the db xml file, or it might be in the compdata folder. Ask regularcat, he knows.

Database name can be whatever you want, you need to edit the entries pertaining to teams in the language databases to see a change in game.

I've exported the eng_us.db and XML files and edited them in DBM. However, I cannot get FIFA to start with the edited files... if I launch from Frosty Editor or Mod Manager FIFA simply doesn't start. Though it does without the edited files.

I wonder if I've done something wrong. I'm not certain which entries I should edit. I edited all of them. For example, with Arsenal:

But FIFA wouldn't start.

I know you don't use Frosty but I am unsure how to do this with Shawminator's tool.

Any help is greatly appreciated.

EDIT: I should clarify that the FIFA17.exe process IS visible in Task Manager but the FIFA window is not...

EDIT2: Looks like it may be a problem with Frosty. Is it possible to edit eng_us.db and launch fifa with edited file without Frosty?

Anyone know why when i exit my carrer mode the game crashes?I can start it normally but when I exit from the carrer mode it crashes to desktop

I'm having the same issue today. Downloaded the WC update two hours ago, and now the game crashes just before the match starts. Updated drivers, still crashes. Game ran fine for a year and even this morning. Damn it.
