I've seen FIFA 18 keys for under $20. Having File Explorer makes it worth buying, even this late. It's all about perspective, 20 bucks for hundreds of hours of enjoyment = no-brainer purchase.

Maybe you're right. Until this moment, i haven't purchased FIFA 18 because it didn't seem like a big improvement related to FIFA 17. Mostly i play in career mode, so the online part is not my biggest enjoyment. But since the release of the tool i started wondering :))

Hola, gran herramienta muy útil, gracias al creador por compartir con nosotros su creación, una consulta sobre por qué cuando edito un equipo, camisetas, jugadores, datos ... (en creación maestra) no puedo usarlo en el modo carrera? Cada vez que voy a comenzar una nueva carrera, ¿obtengo el juego, alguna explicación o solución? perdón por mi inglés, saludos

You will see 9 sets of db files, 2 files per set.
fifa_ng are the main files (exhibition, career).
fifa_world_cup are the World Cup update files.

File Explorer includes rinaldo's Creation Master editing program.
It loads and edits the fifa_ng main file set.
To activate Creation Master:
Click on Select Section (far left column);
Click on DA.

Another option is rinaldo's Database Master (DBM) editing program.
It can open/edit all db file sets.
Use it to:
Transfer players from other db files;
Transfer players from EA squad updates;
Install icon players for use in career mode, WC mode, etc.

To prepare db file sets for editing using DBM:
In File Explorer, right-click on each file and choose Export Legacy File.
Download onto your desktop.
Create a new folder on your desktop.
Name the folder db and place the 2 downloaded files inside.
Start DBM.
Click on Data/Open DB (top toolbar, left) to locate and load the 2 files.
Create another folder on your desktop and name it tables.
Click on Export All Tables (lower toolbar, left) and export into the tables folder.
These are your default db tables, ready to edit.
Make a back-up copy of these files before editing.

if i want to modify a db that is in a mod created for cg fileexplorer should i load the mod and after i must extract the db
correct?

My guess? Yes. But I have never tried to edit someone's patch, I only edit my own.

First time using mods on Origin Fifa 18. May I switch between online and offline play whenever I want?

I do want to enjoy the last mod released by Infinity, but also want to keep playing the online modes once in a while... So, if i install the MOD once, will I only be able to play the game offline?

You can, you can switch between multiple mod files or vanilla files by simply launching CGFE, selecting your executable and in the drop down menu you can select any of the mod folders you have created or vanilla by choosing None and then unticking "Load mod into Explorer".

You will get a message stating either your mod is loaded or default install loaded.

Still... Switching between the mod and default setting affect save files, as career progress?

Is it possible to create a new club with this tool? And by create a new club, I mean replace an existing one really...

I can see that with Frosty it'd be possible to change all the relevant image assets, e.g. the crest, the banners, the kits, etc. But I can't see how to modify the club name?

Any advice would be welcome. Ta

please help after updating fifa18 to latest version cg explerer not oepning the exe file .. this is the error

That happens sometimes, the project becomes corrupted and FE won't load even after restarting.

Rename your main Origin Games/FIFA 18 folder, FIFA 18x. Copy and paste your saved FIFA 18 back-up folder into Origin Games. Now run FE like a new install. Done and working.

I've had to do this twice already, fixes the issue 100%.

Start again.
Edit one thing only.
Click Create Mod to save and to make sure it works.
Save as cmp file.
Edit the next thing.
Click Create Mod to save and to make sure it works.
Save as cmp file.
Etc. and so forth.

Go slow, one step at a time, always checking and testing your work as you go..
