Hi. Do you plan to release the next version before the WC?
I am checking the thread every day just to see whether there is a new version up:yoyo:

I used the latest mod when i had a marathon session a few days ago. I also uses pauls ini number 1.
I must say that I had a lot of fun. Gameplay is different with the wc update. I got England to the qf where i got hammered by germany. Then i got egypt to the qf where i hammered denmark but lost 2-1. Thats standard fifa.
I will be playing again later and i hope its a much fun. I will be playing as the weakest teams as this should give the highest challenge.

@TheAwesomeGem are the career mode files in your github library the latest versions of them, basically version 2.0? Cause I also couldn't get the Frosty Mod Manager edition of your Mod to work with 1.0.3.1, but after downloading all the files from your github library and importing them with Frosty Tool 1.0.3.1, exported as mod and then loading it with Frosty Mod Manager again...it works! Just would like to confirm if they (the individual files) are the latest ones?

I've had a long wc session today and used this mod plus the locale.ini 1 mod. Th games were truly excellent. I tweaked the sliders slightly and the game was very difficult. Matches were end to end and exactly as I like it.
Gameplay is very different with this wc update. I don't know if career mode has also been changed. Let's hope so.
FIFA 18 was brilliant fun today and a real challenge. Finally.
Let's hope that ea have got their act together. Finally.
I'm sure that these mods have also significantly helped.

Completely fixed in 2 seconds by raising the first touch error sliders.Nonsense, you obviously have never spent any real time playing the game on manual. Plus again, you can use sliders to adjust that; make manual passing harder or easier, your choice. It's a ping pong game because YOU ARE USING ASSISTED PASSING, good gracious. And the CPU in my game is nicely horrible at passing. All I did was raise the CPU pass error slider, again it takes 2 seconds.

Main reason why I will never use sliders, is three fold. Firstly, it is artificially increasing the difficulty, it doesn't make the AI smarter, just gives them a handicap (although this is how difficulty levels work in 99.9% of the games out there). Secondly, most of the things in real life, the activities of this game nurture muscle reflexes, which means over time you will adapt to the new settings rendering them easy to overcome again. Thirdly, in conjunction with the second point, acclimatizing your muscle reflexes to slider settings hampers, your abilities in multiplayer modes which models itself around default slider settings, taking away your competitive edge from the game, for this same reason, I dare not to even change the match speed of the game and leave it at normal.

I agree that thr sliders dont change the ai but they do change the gameplay. the cpu is hopless at passing and if i left the sliders at default then the game would be unplayable. The same goes for shot accuracy. They would never score if left on default. For me, i i dint change the sliders I woul;dnt play the game as it would be dreadful. It all depends what you want from the game. The base ai on fifa 18 is not good and geared to match fixing on fut. Ea aren't really interested in career mode as it dosnt bring in extra cash.
Re the game speed. I find normal speed to be too slow. I cant cope with games that take 50 passes to get to the halfway line.
The gameplay inComputer football games bear no resemblance to reality because theres no such thing as objective reality. No two people see the world the same way. No two teams pplay the game the same way. Football is a basic game that tv companies such as sky have turned it into a circus by over analysing the game etc.
Its just about one thing. Getting the ball in the net morfe than your opponents. The sliders do allow for different style if only someone knew how they worked. Thats the problem no one truly knows. Look at OS forum, ask a direct question what a slider does and they can't answer. Their sliders are so far from how the game plays that make the game unplaya ble for me. Then again, most of their gamers play on console and the game may be entirely different.
I couldnt play fifa without changing the sliders. For me, its un playable on default and its soporific on normal or slow speed.

Because OS isn't a modding forum. It's a chat site for dads who get to play FIFA after 10 pm when the wife and kids are in bed. They have no idea how player ratings interact with the game engine. Someone tells them to move the pass error slider from 50 to 52, and they're happy, and they call that 'modding.'

This is a modding forum. Grab some of the available modding tools and learn how to use them. Don't wait for answers and fixes, discover them for yourself; spend a few hours testing sliders, then post your findings. I've spent 1000+ hours testing player ratings and slider settings. With the right tweaks, FIFA 18 plays a sensational game of football. Fixing the game definitely requires a time-and-knowledge commitment. That's just the way it is. That said, you have to be willing to take the time to learn. If you're not willing, then you're wasting your time here.

Speaking of which, do it while you indeed have the time, before some woman has chained you to a family and a 30 year mortgage. 'Cause after that you ain't gonna have any free time on your hands for learning about modding, or for video gaming period lol.

EDIT: Just read your post #431. That's great, and so most of what I wrote applies to new members rather than you. We don't theorize around here. We do. We edit the db and move sliders around, and create Frosty mods, etc. We get on with doing whatever's required in other words.

your abilities in multiplayer modes

1. Go to "Source: https://github.com/TheAwesomeGem/fifa18career" and download as zip, extract files on Desktop of where ever.
2. Open Frosty Editor -> Fifa -> Legacy Viewer. Copy & Paste each file's name in the filter bar as it may be the easiest way unless you know where all the files are stored. Right Click - >Import the downloaded file into each one.
3. Save & Export as Mod.
4. Load Mod in Frosty Mod Manager.

Here is the Mod I imported, to be used in Mod Manager (V1.0.3.1). Feel free to test it. All credits to @TheAwesomeGem of course.

It just so happens that some players don't dedicate all their fifa hours to single player modes and rather enjoy balance. Multiplayer modes not necessarily have to be online modes, you can just as well go to a friend's house and play with two controllers. Mods and tools and modding info on this site are exclusively for offline play, that is basic common sense. I am not seeking help from anyone in this forum pertaining to this regard. I was simply adding onto what TheAwesomeGem commented about the game turning out to be much easier within a couple of weeks of practice, perhaps even days. That is something EA can definitely work on to try to make the game more entertaining. And nothing is ever completely player controlled in fifa. You can at the most control one or two players in the game "simultaneously" the rest 9 players are doing whatever their coding tells them to do, so tweaking the AI will also factor in to better Multiplayer experience as well.
