your mod was fine but when you are going to simulate the schedule from one game to another it gets very slow. How to fix it?
What version are you using?
Also note since more transfers/calculations are happening - it may kinda slow things down in busy weeks like the transfer-window.

There also seem to be a bug in V1.1 - loans doesn't seem to happen, hope to fix this at the end of the weekend. For now stick with V1.0.

I worked on that for a few days in FIFA 17 and finally fixed it in my game with db edits. It has to do with several things. The closer in overall rating the bench players are to the starting 11 players, the more the AI will sub them in. The worst example of this is the AI will very often play the backup GK if he is rated almost as high as the starting GK, which I think is an actual programming glitch. I found the backup GK had to be rated around 20 points lower than the starting GK before the AI would always choose the starting GK.

Also, the AI will play or early-sub bench players it deems as playing the "correct" position. Say the starting CM is playing RM. The AI will choose to start or sub a bench RM just because it sees that player as the correct player for the position. The LB/RB position logic is the most strict, the AI will always choose an LB or RB over a CB, no matter what the CB is rated. AND will even choose midfielders as LB/RB over CBs. One of the things I did to fix that was set all players' position 1 values as CB, CM or CF, and position 2/3/4 as nil.

There is a team trait value "sticks with regular lineup." You could try setting that and see if it helps. I always set those values to 0, the team traits EA has are quite useless.

EDIT: If POS_BIAS has to do with Weighting of Position Suitable and Overall, then I would set that at 0 and see if that works better. Also, in FIFA 16 team traits were 8 = consistent lineup and 4 = squad rotation. I imagine they are the same for FIFA 18. It might also explain why teams in your game are changing lineups, maybe their team trait is set to 4.

If I want to set all teams with consistent lineup should I write a value of 4 or 004?
Can I sum up the traits like usual?
For example 512+4= 516 will give me both short out back and consistent line up.
By the way short out back means cpu goes back quickly to defense?
Do you know the new team traits codes?
I would like to remove most of them as I think they are just boosts and cheats but some others seems useful.
For example for the players I set diver and dive into tackles for all and I see more fouls

Also I remember there was a line in some ini that you could set the overall difference value to be considered for a sub.
But I can't find it anymore! And anyway I would not know how to set it as my values are a little bit more compressed than default database.
@beta990. simsettings works only for cpu simulated matches or also for the games you play?

No, I set them all to 0, like you I think they're mostly just cheats. And I assume you can combine them like the player traits. I do use several player traits and assign them to all players. Mostly the fancy feet type traits etc. because it gives visual variety to the way CPU players' handle the ball. I stay away from traits like power header (CHEAT!). Another good one is GK comes out, you see a lot more of the GK challenging and punching the ball.

Beta, where would you say regenerated players potential and tier is set this year?
Does not seem to be determined by tier potential range in scout.ini, but somewhere esle.

Hello guys, please let me know which value i should edit to get the AI always chose their best players for lineup. i read some mentions about matchimportance in managerai.ini and matchimportance.ini. But which value will effect the AI sub. Any help would be appeacitate !! Thank you !

This year a lot of the legacy files seem to be overwritten or work in combination with other files from inside the root of the game.
This illustrates the fact that a migration is on the way, taking us away from the leagacy system, in full maybe next year even.
I think this is a clear indicator for the introduction of the subscription system which EA will try to introduce sooner rather than later.

I read and i still not find the solution, thats why im asking. I changed vaule in matchimpotance.ini to 100 all the group state, but the AI still pick 2nd goalie.

Again, that's the discussion that's currently taking place. You're asking for a ini fix for a problem that people are in the process of trying to figure out and don't know the answer to.

Anyway, I posted one solution for the 2nd GK issue, maybe consider that option if you can't find an ini fix.

managerai.ini is the first obvious solution to tweak, but it does not seem to work for everyone.
Try it and see what happens. For me it works in some extent.

Could you try the latest changes? I've tried most things, but setting overall position threshold higher is one of the only things that seem to work.

Indeed so stupid, it should be the best line-up for the team not for the player.
