The same for me too, origin launch and ask for the update 4, then "no" and pass offline in origin but the game doesn't launch. It launches with FMM.

Hello to you and everyone. Yes is there an issue with FL18 and game don't start, only fifaconfig pop-up out.
So atm to play the ModData Pack 0.2 run game with FrostyModManager (but is required to disable/untick all mods in FMM, because already in the ModData pack) Or install my already shared Frosty Mods Pack for FMM format and then install the new AGPEM 0.2 Module only, etc.

- Run FL18 as Admin, click the ball or button to launch modded game
- RESET SQUADS TO DEFAULT AT FIRST GAME START (check new balls, stadiums, etc,) AND THEN LOAD COM003 ROSTERS, SAVE ROSTERS, START CAREER.

This mod data version include AD enabled like default game. Don't overwrite my inifs file with another!!!!
Otherwise you lose a lot of gameplay settings required.
I suggest to edit the new config file to enable AD again if you already liked. Make your choise.
Remember to check multiple file position in my mod structure, so if you edit one,
copy and paste in the double position subfolder, etc. Check out and take care at structure.

Ok during this weekend I'll check the actual situation and try if possible to do something good.
Atm I need only to discover the best and secure way to convert a 16 db format in 18 and viceversa. I've already shared because
...but apart from that everything is ready and works. Now I'm stuck at this db point.
Probably because I'm busy working on other mods.

YES Play it. ...but...you still have to use ball cover button in gamepad to put your physical force now working very well.
Check my video I win the magnetic CPU tackle. I'm always using the LT button when I move with ball and when the cpuai try to get the ball, and if you change direction, now completely foul out of time. Adjust as I suggest. Play. Read gp tips. Install full ModData Pack 0.2.

Played it a bit and it's an improvement to the previous patch. CPU defending is more human like than before. However it seems like player inertia is not fine on this patch. All player feels like they are dragging an elephant while running.

When i try to launch the game for the first time with FL 2.0 everytime when i click on play origin open but the game doesn't launch

The Speed and Accel sliders are your BFFs. Increase them until you're happy with the game speed. The higher they are, the less the so-called inertia issue. Fidel likes his game speed slow. I always raise his recommended Speed and Accel settings, we all have our own preferences. You still get all the benefits of his mods even if you increase game speed, maybe fewer fouls but that's it (the faster the game and the more sprinting, the less fouls).

It's back again. I cannot dribble for some reason. I haven't even changed anything gameplay related.
Every year the game is like this. But this year it seems worse than ever. I have no doubt EA hard-coded mental, emotional and team boosts in more files than ever, where we can't get at them to edit (unless Fidel was able). And the game engine it seems randomly reads from this file or that, so that the game play radically changes from one day to the next.

My universal fix is to find one set of sliders that works, and then stick with that. I then adjust sliders slightly each game depending on how the game engine is playing. You'll drive yourself crazy otherwise, trying to come up with fixes every time the game play changes. Relax and enjoy the game for what it is, faults and all.

Adding to my previous comments to you, here's an example of what I do: Because the CPU is usually boosted every game, even just a little, my default Speed and Accel sliders are generally: USER Speed 53 Accel 52; CPU Speed 51 Accel 50.

When the game starts and the CPU starts running around, I can tell immediately what level of boost they are playing at. If they are playing at a high boost level, it's very evident because all players in the game are running around like crazy people, my players included. So I will drop Speed and Accel sliders for both AND give myself an even bigger slider advantage to make up for the high level of CPU boosting. So something like: USER Speed 52 Accel 51; CPU Speed 49 Accel 48. Some teams (Liverpool) are super-boosted all the time; against teams like that I have as much as a 5 point slider difference between USER vs CPU Speed and Accel.

But it's also the case that the CPU isn't boosted much or at all. This is when the game can feel sluggish because, again, it affects both teams. So I will raise both and close the gap between USER and CPU, such as: USER Speed 54 Accel 53, CPU Speed 53 Accel 52. And there are some games that I even have to raise those into the 55-56 range, just to eliminate that sluggish game-play feeling (inertia issue).

I get exactly what you mean. I thought I was the only one with that issue. This is a boost that is literally written inside the game engine and no way to disable it. It's the boost that makes average defenders play like Maldini and average attackers play like Messi. Sometimes it can go on my favor especially when I play against Man City, Man Utd or Chelsea. But sometimes it goes against me especially when I play against Southampton or West Brom. I don't even know what triggers/activates it as it's mostly RNG.

There are a handful of boost values EA uses, they call one mentality, another emotion, plus there are more I'll check my FIFA 16 ini file hang on... okay, there's also morale, team chemistry, CPU offense and defense difficulty, CPU process decisions, CPU use attributes/traits/difficulty, and adaptive difficulty. And there's a match intensity table. And match importance ratings in the teams tables, plus values that determine how intensely CPU teams play against weaker, equal or stronger opponents.

These are the various boost cheats that are running in the background at any one time. That's why games play different all the time, it depends on which codes have kicked in. In FIFA 16 and earlier, it was possible to prevent about 90% of those boost values from kicking in, by making simple edits to one ini file. But that all changed with Frostbite, now the on/off values for those boost codes are hard-coded into the game files, and appear to involve multiple files.

Right now the only cheat/boost that is activated is either the matchimportance one or the one where CPU teams plays really good against the best teams but poor against the worst. Anyone to figure out how to disable those two?

I think I managed to remove several boost with my db, init, and ini settings for career.
I still need someone to test it further but for now I'm quite happy and that's incredible because I have never thought I would say so about fifa.
You can try my mod, anyway feedback are wellcome.
If it doesn't work with your patch and with frosty mod manager I can send you the single files to be imported into the frosty editor (I also fixede several things still not uploaded)

Things are getting very complicated now.

I only want to edit gameplay files, not any graphical things, career mode things or etc.Is changing locale.ini file not enough right know?Do i have to install this frosty thing to get the improvements made by Fidel?

I downloaded mod pack 0.2 and again it has squads, locale.ini, inits file again.Isn't it proper to overrite it manually, not by frosty thing?
