HOW TO EDIT FROSTBITE ENGINE SETTINGS
TUTORIAL - TRAINING 1 - Level: easy

Practically the file initfs_Win32 has more than 4 protection.
So now 3 protections has been unlocked, and the last one it's related to the file size, and the default file size must be the same after edits. That's all.
So if you are already expert in Hex edit you understand that's very easy.
Otherwise if are not a big expert you can try to do a good job inside the file.

- Download and install HxD 2.0: https://mh-nexus.de/en/

- Download this pack with default config file, example mods and tips

- Below step by step how to disable adaptive difficulty (as example) and setup commons features:

- Open the initfs_Win32 from File menù or drag file on HxD icon
(switch to 32 or 64 Byte visualization)
- press CTRL+F and in search, type: ADAPTIVE_DIFFICULTY
and press enter or ok - you can see like this:


now in decoded text column highlight the value 1, like you are selecting text
I like to use only keyboard in my pc so I don't know, but if you like you can use mouse
1 in text=31 in hex values


now to disable AD, just press 0 in keyboard to edit and change the value:
so the file become 0 in text=30 in hex values


save file, enjoy.

You can do the same to enable grass in low gpu profiles, etc.
This is an easy edit but required in order to do the first training tutorial.
This time it's very easy because we can just overwrite an 1 byte value from 1 to 0,
so the file size will not change, and you can save and play.
For example you can start to tweak as you want using same method:
in search type: Mesh.GlobalLodScale
for example in my old patches I've edited only HIGH and ULTRA gpu profiles but you can change
the values also in LOW or MEDIUM gfx profiles.
Anyway here become a bit difficulty because to edit a value with value 1 (1 bytes lenght)
in order to edit value in 100 you need to "convert" to 3 bytes (and delete 2 bytes to match the default file size)
and I suggest to edit value in 99 in order to convert value from 1 to 2 bytes,
the effect it's pretty the same because 99 it's almost = 100 (for Lod effect ingame) but in this case with 99 you must remove only 1 bytes from everywhere possible inside the file
quick example:
in oder to edit (in low on med profiles):
Mesh.GlobalLodScale 1
to
Mesh.GlobalLodScale 99
you must delete 1 byte data in fake EA text information inside the inifs file.
Take care deleting, for example you can delete bytes from text like this:

For example in this region is possible to delete a lot of bytes in order to use to add other strings or patch default values.


To search/find default values I suggest to read the file inifs by adding the extension .lua and open it in notepad++
this isn't the file to edit, but only to display perfectly values and easy check where do the tweak.
So you can select the text string to search in HxD in order to patch.

Use HxD to edit the default file with method above.

Atm I'm downloading third fifa title update. I hope the decompressed inifs will work, not tested atm in update 3.
Included in the default config pack, latest Ultra High GFX settings mod, already shared in the forum.
Useful to check out how I've edited and also include the dll required in order to start game,
you can see also how to share the mod with good explanation of features, folder structure, etc.
or you can start to edit from my already released versions included in the pack or re-adjust.

Good modding - also wait other tips from community or new GUI based tools cooming but atm you can enjoy.
I think there are inside this file impressive potentials to break/patch many game features.

So isn't a mod. If you aren't a modder wait for other will make rosters mods.
You will be alle to load edited rosters thanks to this pack.

- Use this roster file like a main base container
- Extract db, properly edit, re-import back (hex data raw copy) - ready

or

- Use this roster file like a main base container
- Import inside your already extracted and edited db - ready

You must use this Squads_BASE file every time you edit and import the db inside
Remember always paste write data because the db is on the middle of this edited squad file,
so is required this edited header and the end of the file.
You can now share roster's mod and every users will be able to load with every 18 profile loaded.

ENJOY!

The defenders are absolutelly for nothing, I give 4,5 goals in a match passing right through them or accelerating on world class and also I recieve 2-3 goals in the same way.
Trying to turn with them is harder than turning a train.
Keep this in your objectives Fidel.

That's not what I'm seeing on world class.

Maybe we are playing different versions of fifa???
Just finished Man City vs United in two legs.
Result 5-3 in first and 2-2 in second with many more chances missed both sides. (playing vs AI).
Grimbarian, what are your results?
For me, the defenders are mobile like trees, the attackers drible and turn them in anyway they want, and I do the same to the opposing deffenders.

HOW TO USE
- Extract mod's *.rar archive in a folder
- Start FIFA 18 when you are in game menù Start this tweaker (wait loading) and follow Steps 1 and 2
- PRESS CTRL+C to search GP CAM float values in memory and wait for voice STEP 1 OK (text become red)
- PRESS (NUM PAD 1 and 2 to apply = setup 1 - normal range mode)
or (NUM PAD 3 and 4 to apply = setup 2 - extreme range mode)
- Setup your camera with now working gp cam sliders from pause match settings menù

* Detailed Keymap:
Hotkey - Effect in game
CTRL+C - To activate AoB scan lua script and recognize values

SETUP 1 - NORMAL TWEAK:
numpad1 - height_mod_increment - Normal pos range to 2000 (suggested)
numpad2 - zoom_mod_increment - Normal pos range to 22 (suggested)

SETUP 2 - EXTREME RANGE:
numpad3 - height_mod_increment - High pos range to 4000
numpad4 - zoom_mod_increment - High pos range to 36

Save profile game settings if you change gp cam sliders from pause match menù,
remember/check the setup/combo you have enabled and liked (numpad 1-2, 3-4, 1-4, etc..).
In some stadiums you have to re-adapt/adjust a bit the height modifier with game sliders.
You must re-apply the mod if you re-start the game. Because it's a memory game session tweaker.

..you can download the squad_BASE with specific hexedits in order to:
open the squad_BASE in a hex editor
copy data from DB to the end of file
paste in a new empty file, save as 18_roster_db.db
open 18_roster_db.db with dbmaster, edit, export tables, legay db editing etc.
import edited tables, etc, save edits in db
Open 18_roster_db.db and squad_BASE in a hex editor
select all hex data from 18_roster_db.db , copy and paste write (NO paste insert) inside squad_BASE starting in DB at offset 92
save file. Copy file in profile folder, start game, load your edited rosters with working roster template.
Easy. To properly edit the db you need the already shared xml from full 18 db. Contact me for any problem.

News to everyone:
I've already gameplayzed the db and released a gp mod and game rock rock rock now.
Started a career to test the new combo and game it's very amazing and yes big fouls come back come back come back......
You can see player rolling in the air some times with big cpuai inaccurate tackles.
Sometimes defender come from behind like assassins and need to kill you, impressed.
The engine react very well to some new dice team settings I've discovered (from the 18 demo)
and now in the full the effect is pretty amazing. The best game in the history. Bye

i've tried .
the Ariel db unfortunatly is too old

so i use the XML with db_squad that you have post.

i've tried anyway to modify some values for try

I have modified the refree without problem and the game load my db.
but, when i have modified any values in the table TEAMS or PLAYERS, (simply values for ex. Agression , ot CCpassing ) and i've choose my db from the game... at the team selection for the match the game freezes.
also , if i try to start a career, the game freeze for 45 second before show me the teams, and after choose the team the game freezes undefinitly.

so, or there is problem with ariel's xml and db_squad, or there is a problem with the db modified to fifa18.

Or I am the problem

Fidel lod tweak 1.2 not working for me, step 1 don't work, voice ok not happen, version 1.0 work normal, voice step one ok happens in 2 seconds..pls check
