Might as well start a thread here, and dump every game I play in here.
Starting as Gladbach now that I feel my customary Bayern game has run its course. This one should be a little more fun; the Bayern game was filled with cursing and frustration that I couldn't get Gotze.
Actually think the squad is pretty good, highlighted by Marc-Andre ter Stegen and Marco Reus; I also really like Igor de Carmago and Juan Arango in attack, Nordveit is probably well known to FMers from his time in the Arsenal academy, and Dante is a very solid defender.
Made only two transfers: Andile Jali from Orlando Pirates
and Andre Baumjohann a talented 24 year old journeyman in Germany. Came up through the Schalke ranks, then broke out as a star at Gladbach. Purchased in the summer of 2009 by FC Bayern, but never played and left that January back to Schalke. He was with the Reserves more last season than the first team squad, and was transfer listed for 2M. While this was over our transfer budget, I asked the board to negotiate the transfer and they did.
Here is the first team. Remarkably strong for a bottom half Bundesliga team I think.
Here's the table at the winter break. Not bad, but not great either. Signed Arne Freidrich on a free transfer for the second half, probably a mistake to not even think about him until now as he's a big upgrade over Stranzl. The defense has been a bit of a problem so far.

Going to Europe was NOT part of the plan. My squad is bare bones thin, and I probably won't get much money next year for transfers and wages.
Lodiero will be going back to Ajax, although his contract finishes in 2 months. I'm not allowed to offer wages high enough to attract him, although he's my #1 priority. I resigned Arango at the start of last year afraid of losing him for nothing. Right now, I'd probably pay 100k to have someone take his 40k+/week wages off my books since he's just not quick enough to do anything. Lodiero is just vastly superior IMO. Also got a good crop of trainees, so that's nice.
Lodeiro must be the most overrated player on FM. In real life he's a fringe reserve player at Ajax. I wish we'd get a better researcher here in Holland. I've been annoyed with it since I started playing CM. This year they topped it with Sigthorsson having number 11 instead of number 9.

Reddiablo is a Vitesse fan same as I, so I don't complain much when playing the game. But yeah, we've always had well overrated youths in the past, not much for realism.
Brought in a couple new players. Nyom is a talented right back that should be an upgrade, got him for cheap. Ramon is a versatile youngster with a lot of promise; actually found him when his agent offered him out, which is very rare for me.
Brought in two loans, Steven N'Zonzi and Alvaro Cejudo who should provide good depth. Striker is going to be a problem, but I'm holding out for a real top player to become interested; Luuk de Jong is a possibility I think. Defenders could be a problem with Freidrich's age and Dante wanting to leave, but I think I can make it to next season, and maybe one more with them.
How's AP on the wing working for you? I'm switching Mata's roles a lot, from AMC AM, AP, and T as well as AP and IF on either wing. He's not been performing as well as I'd expect him to in the T role he's meant to be best at.
