Yeah I am pretty pleased with the way this has all gone.... I think last season was important as a transitional season from old to new and to have done all of this last summer would have been too much too soon I think, plus it is good that Mata has had a season to integrate before all these other new boys arrive, and also if all this talent had come in last summer we might have lost Sturridge and also Ramires might not have developed quite so magnificently.......
I think you should have some legitimate concerns about Di Matteo (parking the bus with cadillac players isn't tremendously difficult for a manager), but winning the CL earns someone a chance. And he's making good signings, or at least seemingly.

He's only got a two year contract, frankly I think he should only have got one year. He deserved a chance, but only a short one! Anyway, Abramovich obviously doesnt like him so he will waste no time in firing him as soon as someone better appears on the horizon.....
Btw if we hadnt appointed Di Matteo already I would be well up for giving Laurent Blanc a shot.
I dont know.... I never once heard us linked with Oscar whilst AVB was here, and I think Abramovich took the Hazard chase personally in his desire to get one over on United and City..... yeah they are AVB style players but surely were AVB still here our prime targets would have been Hulk and Moutinho......
Di Matteo was very smart last season giving the team leadership to the old guard and join together for the CL glory, now lets see if he is also able to build a domineering team.
I am not sure about this but as far as I can remember Di Matteo got sacked by WBA coz they thought he wasn't very pragmatic and trying to play attractive football.
