Klose's out of Confed. Cup. Brdaric to take his place. Germany has a very strong midfield but really lacks a pure striker. Asamoah is more of a winger, Poldolski is more of a forward, and Kuranyi can't head the ball that well. Klinsmann should try a 4-5-1 or 4-3-3 with wingers, since the team isn't that great up front.

I was surprised by the starting line up, especially with the defence. Huth still got lots to learn. I suppose Klinsmann's saving his best players for Russia and the Confed. Cup?

Friedrich is injured, all left backs are injured as well (Lahm, Pander, Schultz). That looked like the best team to me, you can argue about whether to start Schneider/Ernst or Deisler/Schweini.
Kahn and Lehmann will share playing time until WC, this includes the Confed Cup.
