for whatever reason, Sakho isn't one of Carletto's favourites at PSG ... I'd love to see Milan manage to get Mamadou plus 20 mil in exchange for Pato, and then spend that cash (plus maybe a little more) on getting Mario (and Sasha Kolarov) over from City ... if anyone can make such deals happen, it's Galliani ...
I'm wondering who's going to get Montpellier captain Mapou Yanga-M'Biwa. Seems like the new flavor of the month version of Sakho.
I was beaten by Azrael in the Draft and so it logically follows that he knows more about football than I do, especially since he did not resort to cheating (of which I am guilty, as has been demonstrated)
I guess they could afford him if they got Champions League football, and they need someone next to Coloccini. A kid who's the 21 year old captain of a title winning side just seems to deserve a little better, you know? I guess the other side of the coin is that no top side is going to trust a kid that young in their defense with the transfer fee he will command.
So actually, that's awesome, I hope he goes to Newcastle. I'll try to start some baseless message board and twitter rumors.
EDIT:

Any truth to the rumor of Mapou Yanga-M'Biwa to Newcastle? @danlevy1 @henrywinter @acjimbo @PhilippeAuclair

Manchester United, Arsenal and Newcastle are locked in a battle with Borussia Monchengladbach to sign Montpellier defender Mapou Yanga-Mbiwa.
Yanga-Mbiwa, 22, is rated one of the best young defenders in Europe and has been a star performer in the French League this season.
The talented youngster has earned a surprise call-up to the France squad and is in the preliminary 26-man party for Euro 2012.
There have been no shortage of Premier League clubs chasing his signature, but reports in German magazine Kicker claim Borussia Monchengladbach have now entered talks to sign the 23-year-old defender.
There is certain to be a bidding war for his signature during the summer and with Yanga-Mbiwa only having one-year left on his current deal, Montpellier will be looking for a sizeable fee for their star defender.
I'd love to, but Maggio is one of my favorite players in the world and I think he needs to play as a wingback to fully utilize all his talents. Napoli is like the only team where he can do that. I guess Wigan too.

Hopefully he'll want to stay with us next season. Quality player.
I think he's just about made the minimum 25 appearances needed for Milan to activate the buy-out option ... but just about making 25 appearances suggests a return to being injury-ridden ... and for Milan, in a season where availability of players during crucial moments in the season has been a big problem, this will not be overlooked ... sh!t, even Pato, who is banging the owner's daughter, looks likely to be shipped out for being too injury prone ...
Riccardo Montolivo is joining Milan for free this summer, so unless the fee is dropped to something properly nominal, I think Galliani will be happy to pass ...
so it's come to pass as expected: Montolivo's in for free, the option for Aquilani hasn't been activated, and negotiations are on-going to cut the original 6 mil option in half (at least) ... gotta say I'm happy with that so far ...
---
but the better news comes in the form of replacing the departed oldies ... apparently Galliani has inquired about Nuri's availability, which means the club is moving in the right direction (RE: age + quality) ... and needless to say, if Milan are involved, the fee will be low ... would be a shrewd purchase, provided he has truly recovered from injury ... Herr Reitz will not be happy ...

both Allegri and the club have been making statements about Pato: declaring him fit, saying that he's up for a big year to re-prove himself, etc. ... sounds like they're covering their bases for both his stay and his potential sale ... PSG have come forward again, so I'm still hoping the Sakho scenario can happen ...
the other name for defence that I'd like Milan to snag is Kyriakos Papadopoulos ... not sure if Schalke would be inclined to let him go for a reasonable price, but I imagine the player could be influenced to force the acceptance of a decent offer ...
