ok i think it is a database problem. . . . . . .if u had updated the database before like installing new rosters or smthing else, u just have to delete ur fifa11 folder from my documents. . . . i think dt will work. . . if u have 1gb ram then u should turn off other programs to free up ur ram and freezing of the game is generally caused by video ram. . . i think ur 256 vram is in build which is causing it, if u add a NVDIA Gforce graphics card u can play fifa11 smoothly ......

unistall FIFA 11
delete fifa 11 folder on program files folder
delete profile setting and squad (fifa11 folder on documents)
install fifa 11
update game to 1.01
start game..let me know!!
if the game work, exit, make a backup for game folder, and install favorite patches!!! bye bye
