Haha, Gasperini made a mess today. Playing 3-4-3, leaving out Sneijder (considering him an attacker!), then realizing in the 30th minute things don't go well and subbing him in anyway... on the left wing in attack. LOL.

Palermo entertaining as always. Crazy Zamparini maybe be a little eccentric and scramble for coaches, but their transfer policy is spot on. They always bring in the right exciting players and play good football, no matter the opponent. Good stuff.

      Sneijder on left wing, WTF?
They were 0-1 ahead, why he subbed Zarate?

I'm interested to see how Sneijder can be used this year at Inter.

Zarate is grossly ineffective most of the time. When he's not pouting he occasionally has a good game but he's so inconsistent. There's a reason Lazio were happy to get rid of a player with his level of talent.

What do you think of Napoli this year?

They kept key players and looked impressive this week.

Their defense is mediocre on a good day. Cannot see Napoli earning anything higher than 3rd place again.

Zarate was terrible for the time he was on the pitch.
Looked completely unfit (or injured), and couldn't control the bloody ball!

Sneijder played a weird role, but one that he plays well in.

By the end of the match, our formation was something like this...

                -------------Milito------------
                ---------------------Forlan---
                ---Sneijder-------------------
                -----------Alvarez------------
                Obi------------Stankovic-----
                ---------------------Jonathan
                ------------------------------
                ---Zanetti---Samuel---Lucio---
                ------------------------------
                ----------Julio Cesar-----------

                  Wow, that just looks terrible.

That's because of their movement in the roles though.
                    If you were to show how they would be generically, it's a simple 4-3-3, like this;

                    ---Sneijder---Milito---Forlan---
                    ------------------------------
                    Obi-Alvarez-Stankovic-Jonathan
                    ------------------------------
                    ---Zanetti---Samuel---Lucio---
                    ------------------------------
                    ----------Julio Cesar-----------

No, I know that. It just doesn't look like a team who would have any chance at a Scudetto or the Champions League.

I agree. Obi, Alvarez and Jonathan are meh. Sneijder wouldn't feel right in that place, either.

Alvarez is very talented, great with the ball at his feet, although a bit selfish in some moments. He looks promising...

Jonathan is great too, i saw Santos matches in libertadores last season and i liked him but Danilo is the better one.

Ricky Alvarez has great ability, he just needs to mature his game. A real exciting prospect for the future.

ex-Laziale Kolarov producing a thunderbolt to deny Il Matador Cavani an away winner ... gonna watch the replay at some point, but it sounds like Napoli acquitted themselves decently well ...
