  • Problem: Players automatically switches positions even formation remains same.

Since I began playing the game this never ended. -_- While playing as home side against AI/cpu, the opponents'(or the cpu team) players exchange their positions whenever the first or second substitution happens from their side, almost in my each home game even the formation remains same. Play an exhibition match or play in career mode this just keep happening.:3 Suppose the opponent are starting with the formation 4-4-1-1 given below -

    ------------------ striker ---------------------
    ---------------- c.forward --------------------
    ---left m.--center m.---center m.--right m.---
    --left b.----center b.----center b.--right b.----
    ----------------------gk---------------------------

and once the substitution is made, players would exchange the positions with the same formation 4-4-1-1 like(not exactly but similar as) below.. It doesn't make the same switches every time but the players definitely switch their positions and starts playing in wrong chain(defender to midfield or midfielder to attack, etc). Plus it happens with the every formation the opponent starts with, isn't just the case with 4-4-1-1, its just an example.

    ------------------ striker ---------------------
    ---------------- left m. --------------------
    ---c.forward--left b.---center m.--right m.---
    --center m.----center b.----right b.--center b.----
    ----------------------gk---------------------------
    (colors for switched players: back-green, mid-red, forward-navy)

Whenever I can feel a tough match or even whenever I'm leading, I could easily turn the result in last 20-30 minutes in my favor or I could add 2-3 more goals.

    Please help to fix it.

You can't say it's a FIFA 13 bug if you're using an edited db. It could be the db that's the problem, moddingway db for example is a fucking mess and full of issues.

And yesterday on TV I watched Man United sub in players and move Carrick, who started as MF, back into the LB position. So who is to say any of this is even wrong? Teams do this stuff all the time.

Also, the CPU moving a few players around isn't the reason you score 2-3 goals. Ratings and player positioning in FIFA means dick all, you can easily play a MF at CB and he'll do fine. If you're easily winning games by 2-3 goals, problem is you need to increase the difficulty.

The CPU will put players in positions that have specific ratings relative to that position, based on whatever formula EA programmed in the career mode files. You could look in there, I've seen career files with values that appear to determine sub priority and selection.

No I haven't installed any mods yet.

Btw I can't agree with all the points you said, because this has been the case for the match I'm playing as home side only. It never happened when AI is playing as home. Plus I've played nearly 1000-1500() matches in FIFA equally shared at home and away(might be differed by some distance though) and I hardly miss to check out post match player ratings and stats. I still see it as a bug anyway. If anyone else facing this and has came over, share how. Help would be appreciated.

I spent several minutes typing out an answer, explaining why this isn't a bug and how to fix it via the career player sub values. And what's your reply? "It's a bug, can someone help me?!" Well I just helped you. Just great bud, thanks for wasting my time.
