FAQ - Getting started with Fifa 11 editing...

  • FAQ - Getting started with Fifa 11 editing...

    for all the newbies who like to annoy rather than search, this thread is for you.

    consider this a knowledge & helpful thread for you all so you dont feel the need to spam threads i like to visit w/ your nonsense.


    Standard Practice - MUST BE DONE

    VISTA/7 USERS (32 & 64 BIT)

    1. you have whats called "UAC (user accounts control) & virtual store (actual place of installed files)

    TURN IT OFF - 100%

    2. all files & folders, all .big & .bh - check them all as NOT read only

    3. you MUST after any edit to any file, REGENERATE the bh files (use Iard's Fifa11 i68Regenerator 1.6)


    XP

    1. just edit the game


    NEED TO KNOW FACTS

    1. anytime the db or a face file is edited the squads & career files become DAMAGED & are rendered useless

    TUTORIALS

    1. all celebrations & skills moves can be found in your manual & in game


    MODS

    Database & Loc Files

    1. MUST be extracted first either using creationmaster11 or databasemaster11

    2. MUST be set to NOT read only

    3. MUST be in this directory - CProgram Files\EA Sports\FIFA 11\Game\data

    4. MUST be expanded before you edit it in any way, shape or form.

    5. MUST be saved in creationmaster11 or databasemaster11 for edits to show in game

    6. MUST delete your squads file & any career or tournament files in this directory - CDocuments and Settings\Tre\My Documents\FIFA 11


    KITS

    1. MUST be in this directory - CProgram Files\EA Sports\FIFA 11\Game\data\sceneassets\kit

    2. 5 files are needed to edit the kit
    a. kit crest texture (if crest isnt on the kit texture)
    b. kit texture
    c. kit bump texture (blank texture of the same size if crest is on the kit)
    d. shorts/socks texture
    e. shorts/socks bump texture (blank texture of the same size)

    IMPORT

    1. load the db, loc & gui in cm11
    2. click the kit icon (between barca crest & rooney face)
    3. locate the team kit you want to edit
    4. you will see the team crest (arrows up/down & 1/5)
    5. click the import button & import the crest or blank image
    6. click the up arrow (2/5) & done the same for the kit
    7. repeat step 6 for all 5 images
    8. if positioning is not the same for #'s, crests, shorts crest & #s use the 4# cross to edit them
    9. once done editing the #'s, crests, shorts crest & #s you MUST click the save (blue floppy icon)

    3rd, 4th, 6th, ETC KITS

    1. MUST not create a 5th kit (belongs to the referee)

    2. locate the team kit you want to edit

    3. click the clone button & select 3rd, 4th, 6th, 7th, etc

    4. follow steps 5-9 above


    FACES

    1. MUST be in this directory - CProgram Files\EA Sports\FIFA 11\Game\data\sceneassets\faces & CProgram Files\EA Sports\FIFA 11\Game\data\sceneassets\heads

    2. MUST be done in cm11 for best outcome

    3. 5 files are needed to edit the faces
    a. 3d head model
    b. face texture
    c. hair texture
    d. hair alpha texture
    e. eyes

    IMPORT

    1. load the db, loc & gui in cm11

    2. click the rooney icon (between kit & stadium)

    3. locate the player you want edit the face of

    4. you will see 3 tabs (info, skills, face) click face then tick "show textures"

    5. you will see the 3d model of the player & the textures
    a. if "has generic face" is checked, uncheck it
    b. import the 3d model (if it was made by the releaser)
    c. import the face texture
    d. import the alpha hair texture (if it was made by the releaser)
    e. import the hair texture (if it was made by the releaser)
    f. import the eyeball texture (if it was made by the releaser)
    a. if "has generic face" is checked, uncheck it

    6. save cm11


    BALLS

    1. MUST be in this directory - CProgram Files\EA Sports\FIFA 11\Game\data\sceneassets\ball & CProgram Files\EA Sports\FIFA 11\Game\data\ui\artAssets\settingsimg

    2. 3 files are needed to edit the balls
    a. 3d model
    b. ball texture
    c. mini ball (for in game menu)

    IMPORT

    1. load the db, loc & gui in cm11

    2. click the ball icon (between cards/whistle & boots)

    3. you will see a ball texture, above is the balls name next to that is the clone button, click it

    4. select the automatic id
    a. rename the ball to whatever the ball is named
    b. import the 3d model
    c. import the ball texture
    d. import the mini ball (if it was made by the releaser) if not rotate the 3d model to show the balls face & click the camera icon

    5. save cm11


    BOOTS

    1. MUST be in this directory - CProgram Files\EA Sports\FIFA 11\Game\data\sceneassets\shoe

    2. 3 files are needed to edit the balls
    a. boot texture
    b. bump texture
    c. effect texture

    IMPORT

    1. load the db, loc & gui in cm11

    2. click the boots icon (between boots & pitch)

    3. you will see a ball texture, above is the boots id next to that is the clone button, click it

    4. select the automatic id
    a. import the boot texture
    b. import the bump texture
    c. click the up arrow, import the effect texture

    5. save cm11


    GLOVES

    1. MUST be in this directory - CProgram Files\EA Sports\FIFA 11\Game\data\sceneassets\gkglove

    2. 3 files are needed to edit the gloves
    a. glove texture
    b. bump texture
    c. effect texture

    IMPORT

    1. load the db, loc & gui in cm11

    2. click the gloves icon (last icon)

    3. you will see a glove texture, above is the gloves id next to that is the clone button, click it

    4. select the automatic id
    a. import the glove texture
    b. click the up arrow, import the bump texture
    c. click the up arrow, import the effect texture

    5. save cm11

    Thank you for the clear and easy to understanding tutorials regularcat.
    Ok I know it before but this is good for guys were wanted to start editing but donґt know how.

      To make things even easier can you also put a tutorial how to replace the bigs with the actual file folders, using the depackbigs .bat program?

      You can even take the steps from my patch release post.

              changing any data/value in the db.

                    can i ask one question?

                    is ps3 scoreboard using same big files as the pc?
                    if ye,,can you post the overlays files from ps3 because i dont like using scoreboards that are not perfect like invisible injury time bugs....or someone has already fix the bug in pc scoreboard?
                    hope this could be fixed...

                        What program do you need to preview 3D files from Fifa11?

                        Oedit was used for boots/faces models in previous games.

                          In manager mode mode game crash when i go to fixtures and results

                          In creatin master appears this message: "Cannot synchronize with a league. No linked league exists"

                          can anyone help?

                            Hello guys ,
                            i know that this forum have many experts about editing ,
                            so i have a question ..
                            for sure all of u know that FIFA 12 PC = FIFA 12 console

                            but i have information that Arabic commentary will be for consoles only .
                            so ,
                            can we transfer commentary files from the console version to the PC version ?
                            especially they are the same this year .
